I need my Makita tool repaired under warranty. |
Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. Each Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during this one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to
us.
If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material,
we will repair (or at our option, replace without charge.)
This Warranty does not apply where:
Repairs have been made or attempted by others
Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
Alterations have been made to the tool
To get your Makita tool repaired under warranty bring or send your tool to us, include
a copy of your dated sales receipt and a description of what is wrong with your
tool. |

I do not have my receipt can I still get my tool repaired under warranty? |
Each Makita tool has a date code next to the serial number. If your date
code and serial number are legible and the date code shows your tool was
manufactured less than 1 year ago we can repair your Makita tool under warranty
without a sales receipt.
The date code is displayed with the year and then the month.
For example: With a date code of 07.4. Your tool would have been manufactured in April 2007.

How long will my repair take and are there any additional
fees? |
A typical warranty repair will take 5 days. Our service department will contact you with an estimated availability date after our technicians have determined the cause of failure.
Additional fees would only occur if your Makita tool is not covered under
warranty. You will be contacted by our service department immediately if your
Makita tool is not covered under warranty.
All warranty repairs include shipping back to you. Makita does not reimburse the
shipping charge to get your tool to a repair center.

My Makita tool is not under warranty can I purchase parts? |
Yes, search our parts database for pricing or simply call or email your request.
We can also repair your tool for you. We will supply you with an estimate and
all repairs carry a 90 day warranty. If you know the parts or part numbers fill
out the form below. |
